YWAM's Ecumenical Error Click here for my YouTube videos on salvation.
Around February, 2006, I ran into a group of young people who had just completed a Discipleship Training School (DTS) with Youth With A Mission. They said that they were on a mission working with Roman Catholics at a conference in Brisbane City Hall. Not being able to understand how Protestant missionaries could get into a Catholic conference to evangelise, I questioned them to discover that they were practicing Catholics (not ex-Catholics) fully integrated with YWAM, and merely helping out at the conference. They vigorously defended Mariolatry, the Mass, Tradition and other errors of Roman Catholicism.
These kids had just been processed by a so called Protestant mission organisation. They had joined YWAM as Catholics and after their Discipleship Training School they were still Catholics. It was most upsetting to see these kids pass through YWAM without being presented with the truth of salvation.
I rang YWAM to be told, “Catholics are welcome, and the beauty of it all is that there is no conflict between denominations.” Since when has Roman Catholicism been a Christian denomination? In the following article, YWAM praises the Pope:
See: The Watershed Pope.
The following web site speaks of YWAM’s well established Catholic connection plus other highly unscriptural activities including the creation of 'Messianic Muslims', which I haven’t fully confirmed:
See: Youth With A Mission.
Rob Clarke, Leader of YWAM Ireland, is a Catholic. The following article makes this clear:
See: Adventures In Reconciliation.
Given this information, can you commune with YWAM and claim Jesus is your Lord? "What fellowship can righteousness have with unrighteousness...light with darkness...Christ with Belial?"
(2 Corinthians 6:14-15).
Surely no one can lead people on the broad road and themself enter through the narrow gate. "Come out of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues,” (Revelation 18:4).
Please be aware that the present Ecumenical Movement's aim has nothing to do with evangelising Catholics. It's a Catholic initiative to unite people under a 'we all love the same Jesus' banner, with the Pope as head. The movement's unity comes through the acceptance of each others beliefs and an agreement that there will be no 'sheep stealing.' The net result is that all members are misled in compromise and false beliefs. It's a frightfully ungodly alliance that Christians need to be separated from. Go to this page to see how the Pentecostals 'created' the Charismatic Catholics, and how the error of speaking in tongues has greatly assisted this unity of error.
God calls His people to separation and holiness, not compromise. A very good article on Charles Spurgeon and the subject of separation from error, written by Paul Mizzi, is The Downgrade Controversy.
For further insight into how the Protestants and Catholics are being brought together, read All About Speaking In Tongues. This book reveals how Pentecostals 'created' Charismatic Catholics.
Also the booklet Today's Tongues gives a very revealing insight into the tongues movement, from a counsellor's perspective. This booklet takes no time to read and clearly exposes the error and spiritism behind today's tongues.
